Comparing UAD LA-2A to my Analog 610-LA
I'm Blown away. A friend came over and we were playing around in the studio. We decided to do an A/B test of UAD LA2A with my real analog 610-LA.
We recorded an acoustic guitar through my 610-LA. The comp was dialed in and sounded great.
Then we disabled the analog LA comp and added a UAD 2A and I just put in the exact same settings from the real 2A into the uad plugin.... Straight up just eyeballed it.
The results were uncanny. It did the EXACT same processing. We were both shocked. I've seen A/B UAD tests online, but this is the first time I tried it myself.

As mentioned in the original thread, it's not an exact test, because we played the part twice as opposed to sending the same single twice through each. This wasn't a true scientific A/B, but a "good" enough test for fun to see the comparison.
So there are slight differences just from playing the part slightly differently and the position of the guitar in relation to the mic. But the results are pretty blaringly rad.
As was requested, I uploaded some samples. Enjoy!
